Experience

I have extensive managerial experience, both on a practical and academic level. In 2005 I graduated with a Masters in Media Management from Leeds University. During my career with the BBC I managed several large projects including the launch of the digital broadcasting service from the National Assembly for Wales on S4C2; the opening of the BBC office and technical facilities in the Assembly itself; election news coverage for the Assembly election in 2003 and the General Election in 2005; graphics coverage for election programmes in 2001, 2003 and 2005.

I work closely with several companies and organisatiions, including the global leader in journalism and media training, the Thomson Media Foundation;  experts in public affairs in Wales and elsewhere, The Bay Public Affairs

In April 2007 I was appointed by the then Culture Minister, Alun Pugh AM,  to be a member of the Welsh Language Board. I was reappointed for a further 3 year term in 2010.

In September 2007 I was elected to the board of Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff.

I am also a governor at Ysgol Gymraeg Treganna, Cardiff.

In December 2010 I was appointed a member of the UNESCO Cymru Wales committee, which is part of the UK National Commission of UNESCO.
